Baba Rahman rushed back to Germany

Ghana defender Baba Abdul Rahman had to fly back to Germany on Sunday night after sustaining injuries in a vehicular accident the night before, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

Details of Baba Rahman's injury remain sketchy but the Augsburg defender was patched up after initial treatment in Accra before he took a flight to his base in Germany on the express instructions of his club.

The fasting Muslim according to GHANAsoccernet.com sources was rushed to a yet-to-be-revealed hospital in Accra after smashing his car.

Black Stars team doctor Baba Adamu was called to help in the initial treatment of the full-back who is being chased by English giants Chelsea.

But Augsburg ordered for the immediate return of the defender upon being notified of their player's involvement in the accident.

The Ghana defender was seen heavily bandaged as he made his way through the airport to catch his flight.

The former Greuther Furth man has since returned to Germany where he will receive further treatment on the injuries sustained in the accident.

The unfortunate situation could see Baba Rahman's prospective move to Chelsea fall through as he is currently not in the best medical condition to pass a mandatory medical before signing for a new club.

Augsburg are however eager to see their priced asset receive the best of treatments to ensure he makes a quick recovery before the start of the season.
