Ghana defender Isaac Vorsah has been released by Austrian second-tier side FC Liefering after his contract was not renewed, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

He was among seven players including compatriot Raphael Dwamena, Alexander Joppich, Marco Hödl, Elvis Osmani, Benjamin Kaufmann and Sebastian Wachter who were shown the exit door.

The centre-back recovered after a 30-month injury layoff to play the back end of last season.

He managed just four appearances for FC Liefering.

Vorsah has not played for Ghana since playing in Ghana's 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Sudan at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

He missed out of Ghana's campaign at the 2014 FIFA World Cup campaign and also missed out of the Ghana squad for the AFCON 2015 campaign in Equatorial Guinea.
