Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom will be working with new coach Angelos Anastasiadis at FC Platanias, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The appointment comes under 24 hours of the sacking of Nikos Anastopoulos following their 1-0 home defeat to Ergotelis on Saturday.

Anastopoulos handed Inkoom a lifeline after signing him on loan from Dnipro in January.

The Black Stars full back has since appreciated in form to help the side’s steady rise from the relegation zone.

Platanias’ home defeat on Saturday however saw them miss a unique chance to lift themselves out of the relegation zone.

The missed opportunity per the management’s evaluation was too costly – resulting in the sacking of Anastopoulos.

The side have now appointed ex Greece international Anastasiadis for his second stint in charge as they look to beat the drop.

Inkoomwho is profiting from the loan spell with a regular run of games says he is looking forward to working with the new trainer.

"He [Anastasiadis] has a rich CV and I hope to do my best for him to help Platanias  move forward," he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

Platanias are currently 16th in the 18-team Greek top flight – just two points adrift safety.
