Ghana international goalkeeper Lawrence Ati Zigi will join Swiss giants St Gallen in the coming hours, Ghanasoccernet.com can exclusively reveal. 

The 23-year-old arrived in Switzerland on Thursday night minutes after agreeing with his French side Sochaux to end his stay with the second tier side after two years.

He will undergo a medical on Friday morning before he signs a contract with the Swiss top-flight club, Ghanasoccernet.com can further reveal.

Sochaux have agreed to allow the Ghanaian goalkeeper to join St Gallen after both sides reached an over the transfer fee for the player who has been the first choice for the French club.

The Black Stars goalkeeper reached an agreement to leave the club on Thursday night after days of negotiations over his future.

Ati-Zigi has been the first choice goalkeeper for Sochaux over the past few months following the injury Maxence Prevot.

He has steered the club to the ninth position on the league table and has attracted interest from clubs across Europe because of his performances since he took over from Prevot in the autumn.

In preparation for the departure of the Ghanaian goalkeeper Sochaux have signed experienced shot stopper Mehdi Jeannin.

Ati Zigi arrived at Sochaux in 2017 and has played 23 league matches for the second tier side.
