Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan will play in Holland next season

Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan has joined Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem on loan until the end of the season, GHANAsoccernet.com reveal.

The 25-year-old moves from German Bundesliga side Schalke after being told he is surplus to requirement at the Bundesliga side.

Annan joined Schalke in January from Norwegian giants Rosenborg where he won two league titles.

But since moving to Germany, he has struggled for playing time which has resulted in just nine appearances.

GHANAsoccernet revealed last week that the Dutch side were keen on the Ghanaian midfielder and they have now reached a deal.

Both clubs have confirmed the deal.

Annan’s contract with Schalke runs till June 2014.

Annan has won more than 40 caps for Ghana and was a member of the squad that reached the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations final and the World Cup quarter-finals.

Jimmy u r an idiot. have u ever been to germany, met a german or r u judging them by the news n papers u read?

    • Kwame Uk says:

@Jimmy why must every mishap or unsuccess of a Black Person or Ghanaian in a predominantly white land has to be based on race. There are successful black and Asian players in Germany. Schalke had other midfielders and if the coach believed those are better than Annan so be it. We should rather pray he gets a good chance in his next club than blame it on Racism. Haba
