Ghanaian forward Kwame Amponsah Karikari has joined Kazakhstan Premier League side Irtysh on a short-term deal, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

The 24-year-old striker signed the deal on Thursday and will spend the entire second-half of the season at the Ortaliq Stadion.

He joins the title-chasing club from Norwegian side Haugesund FK.

Irtysh have the option to have the move permanent if he impresses.

Manager for Irtysh - Dimitar Dimitrov believes the former AIK Solna forward has the armoury to increase his firepower in their title chase.

Karikari joined Haugesund from Swedish side Halmstad BK and scored five (5) goals in all competitions for the first-half of the season.
