Ghanaian midfielder Evans Nyarko has left German giants Borussia Dortmund to join third tier side Holstein Kiel, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 22-year-old defensive midfielder signed a two-year contract on Thursday afternoon.

Nyarko, who was born July 6, 1992, left the Borussia Dortmund II to join the third tier side.

"Evans Nyarko can play on the Number 6 position, but can also used elsewhere. He is a tough player who has good prospects because of his young age," said Holstein Kiel sports director Ralf Heskamp.

The German-Ghanaian played for the youth teams of several top German sides Hamburger SV, Fortuna Dusseldorf and Borussia Dortmund.

Holstein Kiel coach Karsten Neitzel says he will be counting on the experience of the young Ghanaian in the up coming season.

"Evans is a talented young defender, who already can look back on the experience of more than 60 non-league games with his 22 years," said KSV coach Karsten Neitzel.

"Due to his versatility in the defensive area, we hope that he will continue with these qualities to bring us this in the next two years."
