German-born Ghanaian youngster Kwesi Okyere Wriedt has left German side St Pauli to join fellow lower-tier side Lüneburger SK, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively confirm.

The 20-year-old attacking midfielder ended his spell with St Pauli after the end of last season and has joined Luneburger in a bid to secure regular playing time.

Terms of his contract with LSK has not been made public.

LSK manager Elard Ostermann explained the motive behind Okyere's decision to join his side.

"He wants to play regularly, has therefore cancelled with Jahn Regensburg," he said.

"We had great conversations, have been in contact for weeks. We are very happy that we could commit him," he added.

Okyere scored 14 times in 58 appearances for St Pauli's second string side in two seasons.

He failed to make a first team appearance at Pauli in five seasons.
