Italy-based midfielder Godfred Donsah sees his maiden Ghana call-up as a huge career boost.

The new Bologna signing has been invited for the friendly against Congo on 01 September in Brazzaville and then Rwanda in 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

Donsah has been rewarded by head coach Avram Grant for his impressive form last season in the Serie A when he scored two goals in 21 appearances for relegated Cagliari.

The 19-year-old further showed glimpses of his maturity at the 2015 FIFA U20 World Cup finals.

"It is worth a lot in a career building and your value as a player as well," Donsah told AfricanFootball.com on his debut call-up.

"I feel blessed and honored to be part of the great family (Black Stars)."

Donsah was linked with Italian champions Juventus, Napoli and English champions Chelsea but opted to sign for the Northern Italy side.
