Hearts have tabled an official offer for Medeama midfielder Malik Akowuah, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The capital-based side has written to Medeama requesting about the availability of their influential midfielder, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

Medeama had been unhappy with the illegal approach being adopted by Hearts after they held secret meeting with the player.

The two-time Ghanaian FA Cup holders issued a strongly worded statement warning the capital-based side and Aduana Stars against their 'illegal' tapping of the former Ashantigold intelligent enforcer.

GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal, hours after the statement was released, the club wrote to the club, requesting for the services of the combative midfielder.

Akowuah has emerged as perhaps Medeama's most important player this season with consistent displays for the side.

The Mauve and Yellows will heavily rely on their deputy captain ahead of their involvement in the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup which starts next month.

GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal Medeama will not sell their prize asset to Hearts and will only allow him to go for the right prize.
