Young Boys defender Kassim Nuhu has earned his first call-up into the Black Stars ahead of the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Uganda, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively report.

The 22-year-old towering centre-back has been rewarded for his commanding displays for the Swiss side.

The youngster has been named in the squad expected to be released by coach Kwesi Appiah by the close of the week.

He is among a few new faces expected to named in the squad ahead of the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Uganda in Kampala on Octobeer 7.

Nuhu has been an efficient defender in the Swiss top-flight with his powerful and strong-minded character.

The highly-rated defender will provide stiff competition for Jonathan Mensah, Daniel Amartey and John Boye.
