Free agent Joshua Otoo's protracted move to Hearts of Oak has fell through over financial issues, Ghanasoccernet.com can report.

According to our sources the midfielder had earlier agreed a three-year deal worth GHC 40, 000 with the Phobians but the 26 year old former Wa Allstars player wasn’t enthused with the payment of the agreed figure.

The sources further revealed that, the player wanted 50% outright but the Phobians wanted to give him 25% hence the move to hitting a snag.

“He agreed a three-year deal with Hearts of Oak worth GHC 40,000 and they decided to give him GHC 10,000 but he also preferred to be given GHC20,000. Because of the disagreement, he couldn’t officially sign the deal,” a source close to the player told Ghanasoccernet.com.

The source added: “He is an experienced player and a lot of clubs wanted him since leaving Wa Allstars but I can confirm that he is in talks with some foreign clubs and before the winter transfer ends, he will sign for a club. But if Hearts of Oak should come back and accept his offer he will sign for them before the window is shut.”
