Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah might be forced to undergo surgery if his knee problems persist, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The Juventus player has had two weeks of rest after an inflammation to the knee after a Champions League match.

Asmaoah missed Ghana’s final 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers as a result but set to return for the Old Ladys against Malmo FF in the Champions League.

His return is not certain and if there is a re-occurrence then the only option will be to go under the knife.

Asamoah will need more than two months to recover and that will see him miss the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations next January in Equatorial Guinea.
