Former Asante Kotoko striker Kofi Nti Boakye has signed for Egyptian Premier League side Misr El Makasa on a two-year deal, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

His move to El Makasa will give him another opportunity to make abroad after playing in UAE and a failed stint in Libya.

Makasa, promoted to the Egyptian top-flight for the first time in their history, are currently fourth in Group A of the zonal league.

Boakye was available on a free transfer after terminating his contract with Tripoli-based Al Ahli just five months into his three-year contract.

The 26-year-old was involved in a controversial move for a reported fee of US$ 1 million.

Boakye was accused of playing a fast one on his former employers Kotoko so he joined the Libyan outfit for free.
