Lorient forward Majeed Waris has expressed gratitude to his team mates for assisting him to fetch his debut goal for the club after making an injury return.

The Black Stars striker assisted Yann Jouffre with a well orchestrated pass to fetch the equalizer for the home side a minute into the second half and hit the net himself with seventeen minutes to end proceedings to cancel the lead by the visitors.

Angers opened the scoring three minutes after the half hour mark and it took the instrumental influence of the Ghanaian to restore hope in the home side but Waris thinks his team mates deserve all the praises.

"I am very grateful to Allah for the goal but my team mates did all the job. We play as a team and the most important thing is that we won," Waris told Ghanasoccernet.com

"I had a slight problem with my wrist and thank Allah I am better now. My team mates have really helped me because I am new here but they offer me all the support. I am happy," he added.

Majeed Waris could not play the first game of the season for Lorient against Olympique Marseille due to issues with his work permit and had a wrist dislocation in the game against Bastia ruling him out for two weeks.
