GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively reveal that midfielder Bernard Mensah has been invited for next month’s double assignments against Congo and Rwanda.

The 20-year-old, who is on loan at Spanish side Getafe from Atletico Madrid, has maintained his position in the Black Stars after impressing on his competitive debut in June against Mauritius.

Mensah came on in the second half as Ghana routed the Islanders 7-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Ahead of that, the youngster scored the only goal in the 1-0 in over Togo in a friendly in Accra.

The former West African Football Academy trainee could miss the friendly against Congo in Brazzaville on 01 September because Getafe play Granada in the second week of the Spanish La Liga on Sunday, 30 August.

Mensah has been working hard to break into the first team for their La Liga opener at Espanyol on 22 August.
