GHANASoccernet.com can confirm that Ghana players left Kigali without being paid their winning bonuses for beating Rwanda in their 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

The Black Stars had to dig deep to beat the Amavubis 1-0 on Saturday on an atrocious pitch at the Amahoro Stadium.

Spain-based Mubarak Wakaso curled in a free kick to seal the win with five minutes left on the clock.

But Ghana’s Sports Minister explained the country is not in a position to pay each player US$ 10,000 as winning bonus because of the current economic challenges.

Meanwhile, head coach Avram Grant and his technical team are yet to be paid their bonuses for masterminding the 7-1 win over Mauritius back in June.
