EXCLUSIVE: Suspended Medeama winger Anobaah pleads for contract termination
Theophilus Anobaah is pleading for mercy

Medeama winger Theophilus Anoobah is pleading for the termination of his contract, less than 24 hours after his brother claimed he will NEVER play for the club again, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 23-year-old has written a compassionate letter to the club requesting for the termination of his current deal which runs till 2016.

The sudden U-turn is a big slap in the face of his brother, Michael, who claimed Anoobah, had a case against his employers and vowed never to play for them.

The former Ashantigold attacker is on a ‘bended knee’ requesting for the cancellation of his contract to enable him continue his career.

The player is currently serving an indefinite suspension after he defied a club order to sign a three-year contract with Egyptian side Petrojet.

The career of the attacker is on the line as the long drawn litigation could jeopardize his rather promising career.

“He (Anoobah) has written to us pleading for the termination of his contract. He has admitted he has two more years left on his existing deal,” an insider told GHANAsoccernet.com

“It’s therefore surprising that you will hear close to him say all manner of things.

“He goes out there to make a number of unsubstantial claims against the club but at the same time he comes here Nicodemously to plead.

“We’ll get to the bottom of the matter. We are going to follow the laid down regulations of the club and the FA and ensure justice is served.

“Nobody is interested in destroying his career. Far from it but we must use him as an example for players to respect their contract and employers.”

The 2014 CHAN star played a bit-part role for Medeama in their debut campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup this year.
