Mubarak Wakaso on his way to Swansea

Ghana midfielder Mubarak Wakaso is on the verge of joining English Premier League club Swansea – in a move that could be sealed in a few hours time, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The Swans are in the final stages of negotiations with Espanyol for the 22-year-old following the capture of Jordi Amat.

Espanyol would be receiving around 4m Euros for the transfer of the Ghana international but half of that amount will be going to Villareal who have a 50% stake in the player.

Wakaso emerged one of the star performers for Ghana at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations where he finished the competition as joint-top scorer.

He has since been reportedly tracked by Italian giants Inter Milan with notable mentions of an interest also from Valencia and Wigan.
