Experienced Yusif Basigi blames Wa weather for Hasaacas heavy defeat

Experienced Sekondi Hasaacas head coach Yusif Basigi has blamed the weather in Wa for the heavy defeat suffered by his charges in their opening match at the Wa Park in the 2015/16 Premier League season.

The Sekondi-based side suffered their heaviest defeat in so many years after conceding three goals without a response.

And the head coach thinks that the high altitude in the north accounted for the defeat.

“One major factor which affected our performance here is the weather,” he told the media after the game.

“The weather here is very terrible for football even though I am a northerner.”

“I cannot personally bear this weather as it is very harsh. It played an integral part of the game and that is normal as they took advantage of it.

They played though but the weather favoured them in the game.”

We will have to pick our first maximum points in the next game in the league.”

The harmattan in the north has compelled the entire pitch at the Wa Park to change from green to brown as the altitude is unbearable even for residents in Wa.
