Young Ghanaian broadcaster Benedict Owusu was crowned the best sporting journalist at the 20th Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Awards held over the weekend.
Owusu, who works with one of Ghanaââ¬â¢s leading radio station, Joy FM, scooped the award for his fabulous piece on age cheating.
The fascinating documentary exposed the countryââ¬â¢s age-long problem of age-cheating in the sport which has had crippling effect on youth development in recent times.
The budding journalist is fast building a reputation for himself in the growing industry as he commands massive respect among his peers.
The ever-smiling and humble young journalist holds a degree from Ghanaââ¬â¢s Premier Communication University, the Ghana Institute of Journalism.
