Ghana goalkeeper Fatau Dauda has been handed another opportunity to fight for the number slot at Orlando Pirates after the club appointed Vladimir Vermezovic as their new coach.

Since Roger de Sa resigned from the job, Eric Tinkler has been holding the fort.

Tinkler seems convinced about Dauda’s credentials but with the appointment of new coach, he must start all over again.

Dauda missed an opportunity of making his full debut against Free State Stars due to floodlight failure.

"I have unfinished business in South Africa. Orlando Pirates, a giant in African football, is offering me an opportunity to fulfil a dream of a lifetime,” Vermezovic said on the club’s website.

“I am grateful for the opportunity. I have had to study Orlando Pirates very closely from the other side.

“I am therefore not coming into an unknown environment. It should help because I know the supporters expect me to hit the deck running.”
