AshGold shot-stopper Fatau Dauda has expressed delight at his inclusion in Ghana's provisional 26-man squad for the 2013 AFCON.

The 27-year-old is among three goalkeepers announced by Ghana coach James Kwesi Appiah on Thursday.

Dauda who will be making his second AFCON appearance says he is thrilled at the prospect of playing at January's showdown in South Africa.

"I'm very grateful to the technical team for this opportunity and I promise to make the most out of it because there are a lot of good goalkeepers and I have been chosen," he told Accra-based Happy FM.

Dauda also admits he has to work hard to hold down his place in the team.

"I have to continue working hard and look beyond the AFCON and think about the 2014 World Cup," he added.
