Black Stars goalkeeper Fatau Dauda has urged the Ghana Football Association and the Nigeria Football Federation to learn how to brand their leagues from South Africa.

Fatau who has had stints in all three countries insists that the Ghana Premier League and the Nigerian Professional Football League has quality than the South African PSL.

He, however, insists that the two West African countries must learn from the PSL to brand their leagues as the South African league is miles away in terms of branding.

“The key thing working for them in South Africa is the way they have branded their league. They have a lot of sponsors and the facilities are top class. They do their things like the North Africans. They are better organised there,” he told completesportsnigeria

“In terms of talent, I believe we are better than them. The South African clubs have not really performed better than the Nigerian or Ghanaian clubs in the continent in recent years. Even at the national level, we are better than them.

He urged the Premier League Board of Ghana and the League Management Company of Nigeria to work harder to make their league better and to bring on more sponsors as done in South Africa.

“It will be great if the League Management Company can work harder to make the league better and bring in more sponsors,” he added.

Dauda who is currently the first choice shot stopper for Enyimba FC had stints in South Africa with Orlando Pirates and Chippa United.
