Chief executive officer of Ashanti Gold football club Kujo Fiano, has welcomed the arrival of Fatau Dauda to camp and says he will add competitive edge to an already motivated side.

The former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper has missed out on seven league games due to his participation in the just ended Africa cup of nations in Equatorial Guinea.

Robert Dabuo has been excellent during Duada’s absence conceding just four goals in his last seven games, the best return for any goalkeeper in the league.

Duada’s return will however pose a difficult task to Bashiru Hayford who has to find a way of keeping all of his goalkeepers happy.

But Kujo Fiano says Dauda’s return will impact the team positively.

“We have had a similar situation when George Owu was with us. We had two good goalkeepers and we know Fatau has experience but it’s up to the coach,” Fiano told Accra based Citi FM

“For me I think his return will add to the team positively.

“We have a good team and Fatau will add to our competitive edge.”

AshGold sit on top of the league with 18 points from seven games and take on New Edubiase in the Adansiman derby this weekend.
