FC Mormenekse defender Philemon Akomeah cautions Hearts to be wary of Tema Youth

FC Mormenekse defender Philemon Akomeah has thrown a note of caution to Hearts of Oak ahead of their midweek clash with Tema Youth at the Tema Sports Stadium.

The towering centre back, who is affectionately called ‘Masinga’ was at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday when the premier league giants defeated Great Olympics 2-1 in week seven of the ongoing campaign.

According to Akomeah, what he saw from the Phobians in the game over the weekend leaves much to be desired if they want achieve their target of clinching this season’s league trophy during an interview with eTV’s The TEAM.

“I had the opportunity of watching Hearts play against Olympics but I was not convinced with their output because they allowed their opponents to dictate play for the large part of the game,” Akomeah said.

“During the latter part of the match, I noticed that Malik Akowuah was playing long balls because he was short of stamina to hold onto the ball. With Tema Youth, I know how they like to keep the ball and I believe they do that quite well than Olympics, so if Hearts couldn’t cope with the possessive style of Olympics, they might as well struggle against Tema Youth.”

Tema Youth will hope to return to winning ways with a victory over the Phobians to boost their position on the league log where they occupy 10th spot with seven points.
