Portuguese giants FC Porto have loaned out Ghana youth international Lumor Agbenyenu to second-tier side Portimonense on a season-long deal, GHANAsoccernet.com has confirmed.

The 19-year-old left-back's acquisition is expected to strengthen the defensive lines of the Segunda Liga who are gunning for promotion ticket back into the Portuguese top-flight.

Lumor, a former graduate from Ghana's Unistar Academy, played an influential role for Porto's U19 side last season as they claimed the Portuguese Junior League title.

FC Porto are keen to see the talented Ghanaian acquire first team experience and have sent him to Portimonense where he is likely to secure regular first team football.

Spanish La Liga side Celta de Vigo declared interest in Lumor but wanted to take him on permanent basis while Porto wanted a loan deal.

Lumor was included in Ghana's U20 provisional squad for the New Zealand FIFA U20 World Cup but he was unable to travel to join the squad due to paperwork.
