Seoul: Korea Republic champions FC Seoul have acquired Brazilian Maurinho ahead of their 2017 AFC Champions League campaign which commences later this month.

The 27-year-old attacker will enter his second season in Korea Republic with Seoul after spending the 2016 campaign with Jeonnam Dragons where he made seven appearances.

Maurinho was signed after fellow Brazilian and 2016 AFC Champions League top-scorer Adriano left the club to join Chinese outfit Shijiazhuang Ever Bright.

Seoul are in Group F of the AFC Champions League alongside Japan’s Urawa Red Diamonds, 2014 winners from Australia Western Sydney Wanderers and a yet-to-be-determined Play-off winner.

The 2013 AFC Champions League runners-up will kick off their campaign against the Play-off winner on February 21.
