Academy football has now gained momentum in Ghana and has been accepted by many as the avenue for developing talents for the future.

African Talent Football Academy is one of the few making thrives even though they have been in existence for just nine months.

They started work in March 2017 (this year) and their objective is to develop talents from 15 to 18 years old and prepare them in terms of football and also giving them full accommodation and teaching them languages to help them when they travel.

As soon the players are 18 years old, African Talent Football Academy gives them the opportunity to go to Europe.

They send players for trials since they have very powerful links in Europe, especially in Spain and Portugal and the players travel with a contract.

African Talent Football Academy is based in Nsawam.

The Academy is building a new structure with two football pitches and new accommodation for the boys.

They use the Spanish methodology to develop the players and work with them as a team and also individually to develop all the weaknesses of the players to make them complete.

Fran Castaño from Spain is the Director of African Talent Football Academy.

He is a UEFA A football coaching licence and has been working in different Spanish clubs like Leganes.

Castano has been working in Qatar, Mauritania national team under 17, Niger national team under 17, Niger national team under 20 and as a chief of scout of Real Madrid clubs associated (San Sebastian de los reyes).
