Fenerbahce have held discussions with Kevin-Boatengââ¬â¢s agent over a possible move, according to reports in Turkey.
The sporting director for the Turkish giants,Giuliano Terraneo, held discussions with Boatengââ¬â¢s agent Edoardo Crnjar for several hours in Istanbul over the future of the Ghana international.
The 28-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Galatasary but itââ¬â¢s understood Fenerbahce could gazump their rivals for the signature of the Schalke outcast.
Fenerbahce have already acquired Manchester United flop Nani and are closing in on a move for Dutch striker Robin Van Persie.
The Turkish outfit are keen to augment their squad with high profile players ahead of the start of the new season.
