FIFA rejects Ghana's request for a replay against Uganda

Fifa, the world’s football governing body, has turned down Ghana’s request for a replay after they had complained about alleged â€˜poor officiating’ in their recent match against Uganda.

The 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifier in Kampala was controlled by South African referee Daniel Bennett and ended in a goalless draw. Ghana had two goals disallowed after officials made ‘offside’ calls.

Fifa has told the Ghana FA that “no proceedings will be opened around the World Cup qualifier match Uganda vs Ghana since no traits of manipulation of the game were found after initial investigation.”
