Former world champion with the national U-20 team, Coach Sellas Tetteh Teivi, is very confident the Black starlets will beat India to qualify for the next stage of the FIFA U-17 World Cup today.
After winning their opening game against Colombia, the Starlets were stunned by the USA in their second Group, which means Ghana must secure full spoils against the host nation or risk being bundled out in the first round.
“We have done two matches now, unfortunately, we lost the second one but all hope is not lost”, he told KWESE TV.

“What is important is that we won our first game which is a positive sign”
“Against India, I believe without a doubt that that the team will win, yes it is football and you can’t underrate anyone but I am sure we will pick maximum points and move on in the competition.”
Sellas has a wealth of experience when it comes to youth football in Ghana, having handled both the U-20 and U-17 teams.
The former Sierra Leone gaffer guided the Black Satellites to stun the World in 2009 by lifting the World Cup in Egypt.
That was after he finished fourth with the Black Starlets at the 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
