Ghana U20 female team coach Mas-Ud Dramani says he will adopt a defensive approach of his side’s 2016 Women’s World Cup final qualifier against Ethiopia this weekend.

The Black Princesses have arrived in Adis Ababa for the first leg qualifier with high hopes of making it into their fourth successive appearance at the global showpiece.

The Ghanaian dispatched Equatorial Guinea 3-0 on aggregrate to set up a date with the Ethiopians in the final qualifying hurdle.

While admitting little knowledge of his opponent, the Ghanaian trainer has mapped out a defensive strategy in their away fixture.

“Unfortunately we have not had enough information about our opponents but at top level football you always have to step up your preparations to the highest level and respect your opponents,” he told Joy Sports.

“Knowing that it is the final face of the qualifier we expect them to be very strong but we are going in with a game plan of defending compactly, work hard to keep a clean sheet and play more on the breaks.”

The team will progress to the 2016 FIFA Women’s Under-20 World Cup in Papua New Guinea if they negotiate the two-legged ties against the Ethiopians.
