Finnish giants HJK Helsinki rested Ghanaian defender Gideon Baah for their league game on Saturday due to the upcoming Uefa Champions League clash with Kazakhstan side FC Astana.

HJK boss Mika Lehkosuo wants to parade his best arsenal against the Kazakhstan champions and rested Baah for their league game which they won 2-1 against KTP on Saturday.

Baah, 23, has been crucial for HJK's domestic and European campaign since joining them two seasons ago and Lehkosuo wants to rely on him for a solid defence against a razor-sharp Astana attack which has Ghanaian Patrick Twumasi in the armory.

The former Asante Kotoko was voted among the best players in the Uefa Europa League last season and he is keen on replicating it for next season.
