Under-fire Ashantigold coach Bashir Hayford has received the backing of the clubâ€™s board despite his sideâ€™s unflattering campaign in their Ghanaian top-tier.
The former Premier League champions have fallen off the pace after an abysmal run since the start of the second round.
Their 4-1 defeat at Kotoko has sparked a wave of discontent among their teeming fans with calls for his head growing incessant.
However Chief Executive, Kudjoe Fianoo, has given his support to the ex-Medeama trainer, claiming his job is safe.
â€œThe results have been disappointing but we must not only look at the coach but other issues,â€ he said
â€œWe have a contract with him and so if we want to discuss his future, weâ€™ll do that internally.
â€œThat will not be a matter of public debate. The board has faith in him and so I believe he will be in charge.
â€œAs and when anything comes up, weâ€™ll discuss it. We are not happy with our recents results but weâ€™re not going to press the panic button.â€
