On-loan Bournemouth winger Christian Atsu has been named in Ghanaââ¬â¢s squad to play Congo and Rwanda next month despite concerns about his fitness.
Atsu played his first competitive match for the English Premier League side last Tuesday in the 4-0 win over Hartlepool in the Carling Cup.
The 23-year-old lasted 75 minutes and convinced head coach Avram Grant about fitness level.
He scored in the 7-1 drubbing of Mauritius in June at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Atsu was named Most Valuable Player at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea where Ghana won silver.
