Fit-again Ghana defender Isaac Vorsah eyes Black Stars return after long absence

Former Ghana defender Isaac Vorsah is seeking a return to the Black Stars after recovering from injury.

The powerful centre-back played his first competitive match in 15 months on Saturday as a second half substitute for SC Ohod in the Saudi Arabian top-flight.

The centre-back replaced  Sumayhan Alnabit on the hour as Ohod open their season with a 2-1 win at Al Shabab.

Vorsah, 29, is bent on getting his career back on track after battling injuries the last three years.

With his return he wants to come back to the national team to help shore up the defence and provide competition to John Boye, Daniel Amartey and Jonathan Mensah.

His last competitive match was on 25 May, 2016 when he played 61 minutes for Austrian second-tier side FC Liefering in their 4-1 defeat to Lask Linz.

SC Ohod got promotion to the Saudi Premier League this season.
