Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah admits it has been tough being on the sidelines over an extended period to nurse an injury.
The 26-year-old has only returned to first team action after staying out for almost a year with a knee injury.
Asamoah was operated on last November to fix a knee problem and has since struggled to make a full recovery due to complications.
As a result, he sat out most parts of last season.
The former Udinese man however appears to have finally made his much-craved return to action after playing in Juventusââ¬â¢ 3-1 win over Bologna.
Asamoah admits he has gone through perhaps the most difficult part in his career dealing with the injury.
ââ¬ÅIt was a difficult time for me, because itââ¬â¢s something that has never happened to me in my career,â⬠Asamoah told Sky Sport Italia.
ââ¬ÅIt was hard to stay at home for so long, my family helped me a lot and my team-mates have also beenà really helpful.
ââ¬ÅItââ¬â¢s not been easy for me to sit out for so many months, it has been a time of growth for me.
ââ¬ÅIââ¬â¢m training every day with the team in order to get back to full fitness.
ââ¬ÅI can tell Iââ¬â¢m improving day by day and Iââ¬â¢m happy.
ââ¬ÅBy remaining on this track Iââ¬â¢ll be back to my old self â⬓ my career is still a long one and Iââ¬â¢ve got many years ahead of me.ââ¬
