Four clubs must fight to avoid last relegation spot

Four clubs will battle to avoid picking the final relegation place on the last day of the Ghana Premier League after Sunday's penultimate fixtures.

King Faisal, Mighty Jets, Berekum Arsenals and AshantiGold have been thrown into the relegation tussle.

AshGold, deducted three points by a disciplinary committee ruling on Saturday, lost 2-1 against Ebusua Dwarfs at the Cape-Coast.

The Miners are on 11th place and two points above the drop.

Berekum Arsenals stayed in 12th place despite beating relegated BA Stars 0-2 at the Sunyani Coronation Park.

King Faisal slipped to third-bottom after a 2-0 defeat at dethroned champions Aduana Stars.

Nurudeen Ali scored the pair of goals for Aduana Stars.

Mighty Jets, boosted by three points from the boardroom, lost 2-0 at Wa All Stars fall to 13th place.

Stephan Manu scored spot-kick in the 25th minute for New Edubise United to consign RTU to the second-tier League.

Medeama SC thwarted Hearts of Oak's efforts for a top four finish with a 2-3 win at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium.

The visitors opened the scoring through Emanuel Dogbey in the 11th minute but Wilson Andoh drew level on 18 minutes and Douglas Nkrumah curled in a free-kick five minutes later.

Former Hearts striker Louis Agyeman scored a classy goal in the 80th minute to hand victory to Medeama which stayed in second place.

Runaway champions Berekum Chelsea drew goalless with Heart of Lions at the Golden City Park.

Asante Kotoko drew 2-2 with Liberty Professionals at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Ahmed Toure opened the scoring for Kotoko before Michael Helegbe restored parity.

Nathaniel Asamoah put Kotoko 2-1 ahead and Alfred Nelson leveled once again for Liberty.

Helegbe struck the winner after 82 minutes to keep Liberty away from the relegation dog-fight.
