Ashford Tetteh-Oku has denied media reports of taking up an official position with Hearts of Oak.

The experienced administrator left the Phobians in 2012 – leaving the club in serious turmoil.

Oku is widely regarded as one of the best football administrators in the country but quit Hearts – a club he worked for over 20 years – citing personal reasons.

News are however rife that the Vice President of the Ghana Premier League Board is set to make a return to a club in an official capacity.

According to the reports, Oku has been asked to return to the club a consultant to guide the club’s transfer dealings.

But the intelligent administrator has denied this reports – insisting he has finished playing his role with the club and that it is time others were given the chance to also excel.

“I don’t know where these reports are coming from. It’s not true,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“Personally I have not thought or considered holding any position in mainstream Hearts because I have played my part and I believe it is time for others to come in and also do the job.”
