Ghana goalkeeper Razak Brimah is delighted with his enhanced personal form as CD Mirandes continue to surge in the Spanish second tier.
The 27-year-oldââ¬â¢s return from a jaw operation has coincided with the sideââ¬â¢s impressive six-game unbeaten run which now sees them climb to 9th in the Segunda Division from their previous relegation place.
Brimah has during this period kept four consecutive clean sheets to show clearly his effect on the team.
The former FC Nana goalkeeper who is making a strong case for the Black Starsââ¬â¢ first choice spot is enjoying his spinning personal form which is translating positively on the fortunes of his club.
ââ¬ÅWe are playing very well and that is very positive. Everybody in the team is really fired up for this challenge,â⬠he told Goal.
ââ¬ÅI am happy that I have also been a key player in this run by maintaining impressive clean sheets.ââ¬
Mirandes are currently just three points off a playoff spot for La Liga and a further five from automatic qualification.
But the Ghana goalkeeper is confident his teamââ¬â¢s determination could take them to the promised land of qualifying for the Spanish top flight.
ââ¬ÅWe will continue to fight hard to see if we can either gain an automatic La Liga qualification or through the play-offs,ââ¬Ã he added.
Mirandes will however be hard hit when the agile goalkeeper joins up with the Black Stars for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations where he will be strong contender for first choice under new coach Avram Grant.
