Ghana's in-form striker Abdul Majeed Waris continued his hot scoring streak when he converted a penalty for Lorient to come from behind to beat Bordeaux 3-2 in the French top-flight on Saturday.

Bordeaux started the match well but Jaroslav Plasil's shot from the edge of the penalty area was saved in the 11th minute.

Pablo and Isaac Thelin both missed the target before Bordeaux broke the deadlock in the 38th minute.

Diego Rolan volleyed the ball into the bottom left corner from a tight angle after Wahbi Khazri's cross.

The scores were level shortly after the restart when Bejamin Moukandjo's header found the top left corner.

Lorient took the lead in the 64th minute when Pablo fouled Majeed Waris inside the penalty area.

The Ghanaian international dusted himself off to despatch the spot-kick into the bottom left corner.

Zargo Toure scored Lorient's third in the 79th minute when his header found the top right corner from Walid Mesloub's corner.

Lamine Gassama was sent off in the 82nd minute, and Bordeaux nearly made Lorient pay when Robin Maulun scored with a header but Lorient held on for the victory.
