Sister of former AC Milan wonder-boy Kingsley Boateng, Stella Boateng, has revealed the FC Bari attacker is torn between his decision to choose between Ghana and Italy.Â
The 177 cm forward has been contacted by the Ghana FA through an Italian-based Ghanaian football administrator John Tsagli over a nationality switch in December 2011 but the 21-year-old had continued to represent the European giants at various youth levels.
No official statement has come out from the Ghana FA over their long-standing pursuit of the forward despite his promise to feature for the West African giants and fizzling out of the plans of the Squadra Azzura following his seemingly lost of shine in the Netherlands and back in the Italian lower-tier - Serie B.
His sister Stella Boateng has revealed in an interview with La Gazzetta Dello Sport that Boateng is divided over of the two countries to represent at senior levels.
"The dilemma could come back and we will have to choose between Ghana and Italy but it is hard to choose between Ghana and Italy because Italy have been very good to us," she said.
Boateng was born in Ghana to Ghanaian parents but left to Italy in 1999 to reunite with the rest of his family.
He made a spectacular debut for AC Milan in 2011 showing a lot of promise after scoring against FF Malmo in a pre-season game.
