Former Amidaus Professionals coach Tanko Shaibu claims his refusal not to kowtow to the demands of his club president cost him his job.

The former Hearts and Medeama coach accused his boss of interfering in his job and team selection.

Shaibu was relieved off his post after Sunday’s 3-0 defeat at Hearts of Oak but he insists his dismissal has nothing to do with performance.

"My dismissal has nothing to do with the results against Hearts but rather I refused to select some players management felt I should use," he told Asempa FM

"I have my training schedule and I rate my players based on that and further select players to play based on that.

"I am a professional coach and I take responsibility for the results so for me it's just one of the hazards of our occupation.

" I wish them we'll and hope they continue to strive on all fronts.''

Amidaus have lost twice, won one and drawn one match in the second round of the First Capital Plus Premier League.
