Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko midfielder Godred Asante says he joined Dreams FC because he wants to travel abroad.

Godfred Asante who joined the newly promoted Premier League club from Accra Great Olympics insists that playing for Dreams FC brithens every player's chances of travelling outside the country to play for better clubs.

The Kweiman-based club completed the signing of the workaholic midfielder last week as he seeks for a new challenge after his unimpressive season with Great Olympics last season.

The 25 year old midfielder is yet to explode on the local scene after unimpressive stints with relegated Heart of Lions, Asante Kotoko and Great Olympics.

When asked by the club's website as to whether he joined Dreams FC because of the club's international exposure, Godfred said “Well, I will say yes."

"But I’m a professional so I came here to do my work. I’m a footballer and it’s the dream of every footballer to ply their trade abroad so if I’m here and there’s a contract from outsiders and the club feels they will let me go, fine,” he added.

Asante who was reported to be on the wish-list of many Premier League clubs despite his poor show for Olympics becomes Dreams FC eighth signing after the arrival of players like, Mozart Adjetey, Isaac Akrong and Aaron Amoah.
