Former AshGold midfielder Bernard Morrison sends goodwill message ahead of MO Bajaia clash

Despite his transfer from AshGold to AS Vita Club of DR Congo, former Miner, Bernard Morrison has wished the club well ahead of the preliminary CAF Champions League clash with Algerian side MO Bajaia.

Morrison, 24, played a key role in the 2014/15 title triumph of the Miners before moving to join the Congolese side but still has his eyes on the success story of his former side.

“I wish them the best of luck in this weekend’s game. I've been hearing about their "hard days" issues but it's just temporal. So I pray they get a win to boost their confidence in coming games,” Morrison told GHANAsoccernet.com in an exclusive chat.

AshantiGold will be playing their first Champions League game in over seven years after winning their first Premier League title over a period of 19 years.

The Miners will welcome the Algerian side at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium on Sunday 14th February in what appears a Valentine Day bonanza for their fans.

MO Bajaia are expected in Ghana on Friday ahead of the game and will be lodging at Golden Tulip Hotel in Kumasi until the clash on Sunday.

AshantiGold will have a brighter chance of qualifying for the next stage of the competition if they record a massive win ahead of the second leg in Algeria in a fortnight.
