Former Feyenoord star Mahadi salutes youngsters for Premier League promotion
Mahadi Abubakar has congratulated the Feyenoord Fetteh players for qualifying to the Premier League.

Former Gomoa Fetteh Feyenoord striker Mahadi Abubakar has congratulated the current crop of players for securing promotion to the Ghana Premier League.

The Academy side will rejoin the elite division for the 2014/2015 campaign after winning all three matches in the zone II Division One League promotional playoffs.

Feyenoord edged Dunkwa United FC 2-1 in Accra on Saturday to seal their promotion after seven years in the second-tier league.

Abubakar, based in Vietnam, played three seasons in the Ghana top-flight with Feyenoord before their demotion in 2007.

“Oseeeeeyyyyyy feyenoord!!!!!! I wish am in Ghana to celebrate with u. The real multis system is back in the Ghana football. Am proud of u my boys. **Akwaaba**,” the Tp Ho Chi Minh FC player posted on his facebook wall.

Feyenoord will join Great Olympics, who advanced from Zone III, in the Ghana Premier League next term.
