Former Vice President of Ghana Football Association (GFA) Fred Pappoe believes Ghana football is not dead as many perceived but it is rather "dying".

Most Ghanaian football aficionados share the opinion that football in the country is 'dead' following a couple of recent setbacks.

The Great Olympics board member says he'll disagree with anyone who says the nation's football is dead but believes it is rather dying and it will be prudent to find a cure before it dies totally.

"Our football is not dead but rather it's dying because if it were dead we'll not be talking about it now," Pappoe stated on Happy FM.

"I think it's going down against all the parameters and it is a fact and it doesn't have to be an opinion, it's a fact and it is clearly out there."

"I think we can resurrect it when we commit ourselves and recognize that things are going down and it's because of our some of the decisions we've taken have not been helpful, so there is a need for us to take a second look at what we are doing and make sure we try to do things right, using all available resources in fair and transparent manner of possible, we'll all put our shoulders to the wheel and I'm sure we can revive our football because wherever it was that is falling down from, it's human beings who sent it there so we can send it there back again" he concluded.
