Ex-Ghana U17 goalkeeper Ali Jarrah has charged Fatau Dauda to silence coach Roger De Sa’s criticism of his performance at Orlando Pirates.

De Sa fired another salvo at the Ghanaian this week when he claimed he has not done enough to merit a place in his starting line-up.

The Ghanaian was forced to respond to the criticism by insisting he was disappointed in the trainer who was doing so to save his own blushes due to persistent pressure on him to field him.

However Ali Jarrah, who won silver with Ghana’s U17 team at the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in 1993, wants the ex-Ashantigold shot-stopper to be spurred on by the criticism.

“In this life there are challenges naturally and making the best out of it is what makes you a winner” Jarrah told XYZ Sports

“I don’t think that Fatau was thinking that he was going to get it easy when he signed for the club last year.

“He knew there will be challenges and the best to handle it now is to rise to the occasion makes the best out of it”.

“The Coach is there with him and sees him better than any other person”.

“Roger De Sa might be right with his comments because the fans are mounting pressure on him to use Fatau and that’s why he has come out”.

“This I feel should rather make him toughened up and give him the necessary impetus to fight, double up, dig deep and prove the Coach wrong”.

“I know him(Fatau) very well and I believe that he has what it takes to bounce back.

“The comments need not to bring him down but make him better.”

Dauda was a second half substitute for Orlando Pirates who breezed past Costa do Sol of Mozambique in a practice match played on Wednesday.
