With names like Stephen Appiah, Augustine Arhinful, C.K Akonnor and Ibrahim Tanko popping up as possible members of the backroom staff of the next Black Stars coach, former Black Stars defender and now General Secretary of the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana, Anthony Baffoe expects next Ghana coach to select backroom staff from former players.

Baffoe believes having ex-footballers closer to the game is always the best for Ghana football as their knowledge will be very vital for the team.

"I believe there will be changes but as to who will not be there I can't tell and I also believe that Kwasi Appiah or whoever comes will have his choice of working with his people- we have ex footballers around with Maxwell Konadu and Ibrahim Tanko who was with the team in Gabon," Baffoe told Joy Sports.

"I think everybody knows that I will always love for ex internationals to be closer to the game- it is administration, technically but the right people must be involved, those who are willing to work."

Ghana is currently searching for a replacement for Avram Grant and the GFA is expected to name a new coach by the first week of April.
